HBL PSL T20 Overview
This year again, the Pakistan Super League and the Indian Premier League clash, as both leagues start on the same date. Remember, both leagues are rivals, and foreign cricketers love playing in both, making it difficult for them to choose quality over money. The league helps identify young talent, giving them exposure and training them for the national level. Looking at the tournament format, this year the event will be played in a double round-robin followed by playoffs.

PSL 2026 Venues
The Pakistan Super League 2026 (PSL 11) will take place in six different cities in Pakistan, featuring a total of 44 matches. On weekends, there will be double-headers as well. Lahore will host three double-headers, while nine will be held in other cities.
While the tournament was originally set to expand to six cities including debuts for Faisalabad and Peshawar, all matches will now be played exclusively in Lahore and Karachi. This shift is part of national austerity measures and resource conservation efforts aimed at managing a current fuel crisis.
- Host Cities: Lahore and Karachi.
- Match Distribution: Each city will host 22 matches out of the 44 total fixtures.
- Opening Match: Gaddafi Stadium (March 26).
- Qualifier: National Bank Stadium, Karachi.
- Eliminators & Final: Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore (Final on May 3).

National Bank Cricket Stadium, Karachi
National Bank Stadium, Karachi, previously known as National Stadium, will host six matches in the 2026 edition of the HBL PSL. Previously, it hosted various matches, including the finals of 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2024. The new rivalry in the HBL PSL is between Karachi Kings and Hyderabad Kingsmen. They will both face each other on April 11th, 2026, at National Bank Stadium, Karachi.

Gaddafi Cricket Stadium, Lahore
Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore, will host 15 matches, including the opening match between LQ and HK. The eliminators and the final will also be played at the Gaddafi Stadium. For several years, Lahore hosted the finale back in 2017, 2022, 2023, and 2025.

Multan Cricket Stadium
Multan Cricket Stadium has four evening matches to its name as it’s the home ground of Multan Sultans. The first match at Multan Stadium will be played on 1st April between Hyderabad Kingsmen and Multan Sultans.

Imran Khan Stadium, Peshawar
Imran Khan Cricket Stadium, previously known as Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium, will finally host a match after 20 years. The last international match played here was India vs Pakistan back in 2006. Unfortunately, it will host only one match between Peshawar Zalmi and Pindiz on March 28. The stadium is currently hosting the National T20 Cup after a long time.

Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium
Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium is going to host 11 matches of the Pakistan Super League 2026 edition 11 including one Qualifier. The reason for hosting more matches is that Islamabad United does not have its home ground. So, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium will host six matches of Islamabad United and five matches of Rawalpindi Pindiz. With the inclusion of new Team Pindiz, the twin cities got a new rivalry as well. Islamabad United and Pindiz will play against each other twice on April 4th and April 23rd.

Iqbal Stadium, Faisalabad
Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad will host seven HBL PSL 11 matches, including a double-header. Lahore Qalandars will play four matches while Peshawar Zalmi will play three matches in Faisalabad. In the first match at Iqbal Stadium, Islamabad United will meet Lahore Qalandars on 9th April 2026.
